What is Lumecca?
Lumecca is a breakthrough intense pulsed light (IPL) that delivers up to 3X more energy in the 500-600 nm range to improve efficacy for brown spots, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, and vascular and pigmented lesions. It is optimized for clinicians to treat a variety of lesions with fewer sessions.

What is the procedure like?
First, a cool gel is applied to the treatment area. Second, a chilled applicator is placed on the skin to deliver gentle light therapy. While the procedure is not painful, however, you may experience slight discomfort in more sensitive areas. A topical anesthetic may be applied and this will be discussed prior to treatment.
Who is a good candidate?
No matter the age, anyone with sun damage (texture and pigment issues), age spots, red spots, small vessels, and acne are all great candidates for Lumecca. For older patients, it can help reverse the signs of aging and for younger patients, it can help you maintain your youthful appearance for years to come! For best results, we recommend avoiding prolonged sun exposure on the treated area for at least 4 weeks prior to a session.
When will I see results and when can I return to everyday activities?
An improved skin tone appearance can be seen after one treatment and there is absolutely no downtime! You may experience some dryness or mild scabbing for a couple of days after treatment, but most individuals find that they can return to their normal routine and use makeup shortly after. SPF sunscreen is needed for several weeks after.
