The Cinderella Shot
What is the Cinderella Shot?
The Cinderella Shot is a mesotherapy treatment designed to brighten the skin. It is injected into your skin via microneedling or by needle injection to give you a more even toned skin complexion! This treatment is especialy helpful for those with dark undereye circles. The Cinderella Shot also helps with skin discolouration caused by acne and photo-aging or age spots. The main ingredients in the Cinderella shot include vitamin C, ascorbic acid and glutathione.
How does the procedure work?
Firstly, our Monaco nurse will remove all traces of makeup and clean your face thoroughly using a gel cleanser. In order to prepare the skin for deep penetration, an exfoliating product specific for your skin type will then be used to remove dead skin cells. Once your face is prepped, your Monaco nurse will prepare the mesotherapy cocktail in a concentration that is best suited for you.
After applying a thin layer of the Cinderella cocktail to your skin, your Monaco Skin Specialist will immediately use a microneedling device over your face repeatedly to help the cocktail penetrate deeper. Direct injection of the Cinderella Shot is also an option and this will be discussed with you at your consultation.
When will I see results and when can I return to everyday activities?
The effects of the Cinderella Shot can begin to be seen as early as after the second session at around 3 weeks.
Post-treatment, expect some mild redness that typically lasts for a 24-72 hours. Some peeling on the treated area may also occur. Bruising is a potential risk to any areas that were injected, so just remember to factor in a couple weeks of social downtime if you are planning to attend a special event. However, you can apply makeup as early as 24 hours after a procedure.
How many sessions would be needed and how long does the treatment last?
Clients can expect to do no less than 4 sessions spaced 1 week apart. Once the ideal colouring is achieved, maintenance sessions are recommended at every 2-3 months apart. Please note that recommendations vary between individuals. Based on lifestyle factors and genetics, the longevity of results may vary, but most individuals can see results lasting 8-12 months once the full cycle of Cinderella Shots have been completed.
How long is each session?
Each session takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour to complete.
