Hyperhidrosis with Botox®

What is Hyperhidrosis and how is it treated with Botox®?
Hyperhidrosis is a medical term to describe profuse sweating in the underarms, hands and feet. Botox® injection is proven to be 80%-99% effective in deactivating the sweat glands and is the number one treatment for patients with symptoms of hyperhidrosis.

How does the Procedure work?
The treatment works by injecting small aliquots of Botox to the underarm region. The treatment takes approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. The area will be numbed to avoid any discomfort. Results last approximately 3-6 months depending on the degree of sweating and can be affected by the individual’s age, sex and other factors.

Who is a good candidate?
Botox injections are effective for patients who suffer from both acute and severe hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating).

When will I see results and when can I return to everyday activities?
Results can be felt immediately and can last up to 6 months before a second treatment is required. Everyday activities can be resumed following your treatment.
